This Syrupy sweet, Direct Trade Espresso, has made it to our shop.

Itelligentsia’s Black Cat Espresso.

Based out of Chicago, this company is doing wonders for the “third wave” coffee world. Their coffee is Direct trade, which means they truly care about the farmer who grew their coffee. The Black Cat Espresso is some of the best tasting espresso we have found. It’s complex, a citrusy front, smooth chocolatey middle and caramel-like finish. It’s got great mouthfeel, and when it’s all gone, it almost makes your mouth feel clean, no residual bitterness lingering around. We could talk about this espresso all day, but we’d rather you just come down and experience it yourself.

Unfortunately our sample bag only lasted a couple days. But please, fear not! Our next shipment should arrive this friday. We plan on having this blend around for quite some time. (We think we are making some of the best espresso around, why not have the best beans around?) We still plan on having 1 or 2 rotating guest roasts, so please feel free to mention some espresso you have enjoyed!

We are super happy to have the Vita back. Rich and complex, this espresso blend consists of Latin American, African, and Indonesian coffees. It has hints of dark chocolate and praline, and a silky, deep amber crema with a caramel finish. Stop by, and we will be more than Happy to get you hooked on this awesome espresso.
